Bro. Adolph Montini, Church Musician

Adolph Montini , Jr. was born in Johnstown, NY. He is the son of Italian immigrants, Adolph (Adolfo) and Eva Montini of Patrica, Italy. Patrica is a small mountain village some 75 miles south of Rome, Italy. Montini began his music ministry in his late teens and early twenties at the church of the Immaculate Conception, Johnstown, under Fr. John L. Mosconi in 1974, answering his calling from God. Montini then attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education, with a double major of Percussion and organ/piano. He furthered his education by attending the College of St. Rose, graduating with a Masters of Music Degree in Performance and Conducting.
While at Hartwick College, he met and married the love of his life, Darlene, who was in Nursing School. They began attending services at the New Paltz United Methodist Church in New Paltz, NY. Her mother was a parishioner there. Soon, Montini was playing regularly at this church and they married in that church in March, 1984.
Montini began a new faith journey becoming Minister of Music at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena, NY from June 2001 to June, 2011. While there, he played organ and piano and conducted the Traditional, Funeral and Youth Choirs and created a contemporary music band named “Holy Harmony”. He was also a Core Team Member and Director of Music of the “Good News Retreat”, an evangelistic retreat which brings the Lord's “Good News” to His people.
Currently, Montini is Church Musician for Riverview Missionary Baptist Church family, where he will continue to further praise God and help His people become closer to Him and their faith through music. He looks forward to meeting everyone who comes to worship at Riverview.
